Imagine having a lake right outside your door. You can watch the sun set, catch a glimmer of the mountain’s reflections or the frosty mist rising from the ice, gaze upon the picturesque views from the huge windows of our lakefront library, or play Frisbee along its shore. Or you can do what our students love most about our location—jumping in the lake off the Brewster dock, one of the most popular gathering spots on campus.

Our location along the shorelines of Lake Winnipesaukee will provide you with many hours of fun, camaraderie, and physical enjoyment. It’s easy to see why Winnipesaukee means “Smile of the Great Spirit.” This is the place where you’ll create lasting memories with your friends—whether it’s sailing, rowing, canoeing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, sunbathing, or exploring the Lake’s numerous islands (at last count, there were 270).

With its 72 square miles and 183 miles of shoreline, Lake Winnipesaukee is New Hampshire’s largest lake. Its average depth is 43 feet and deepest point is 213 feet. In addition to offering incredible outdoor recreational opportunities and some of the area’s best lodging and dining options, the Lake is also the site of numerous exciting events such as concerts, festivals, golf tournaments, art exhibits, dances, and much more.

And to think—it’s all waiting for you just outside your door.
