"Romeo and Juliet" an Impressive Production

by Peggy Comeau

"I was impressed – for a high school production it was one of the best I've seen! The pace was great, the acting excellent.  I even cried at the end."
~ Barbara Lorenc (Anna Becker '07)

"I was very impressed with Dan Clay's direction to and coaching of the students. He got such a high level of quality from them. I hope each student involved felt proud of the show they were able to present. They invested so much time and energy and it really showed. I was so impressed with the talent we have here at Brewster.
The costumes were beautiful. Obviously a lot of thought and care went into this play to the benefit of our community. My thanks to Dan and all the drama students!"
~ Cathy Chaffee, Team Lane

"I loved this show – the students rose to the challenge of performing this difficult play. Students really got into their characters and were able to portray the emotions like Alex Curran's anguish when he found out Juliet was dead, and Hollis Boyd's torment at the death of Romeo. The sets and costumes were great, considering the limited budget.
The music set the mood, and the swordfights were exciting and so well done!"
~ Martha Trepanier '83, BA Advancement Office

"I was impressed with the quality of the production,  especially with the performances of Augusta Tigrett, Chris Beebe and Hollis Boyd. Greg Donovan gave an inspired performance capturing Romeo's pain –  this was tempered by the humor Jared Anderson brought to his role."
~ Matt Rowley, Team Cooper

The above comments say it all – the actors, technicians, and director Dan Clay should be very proud of their achievements in this production. Bravo, bravo!
