The Coach
Joe Fernald
Joe Fernald, dean of students, joins the coaching ranks at Brewster Academy with 10 years of experience in New Hampshire high school baseball. Most notably, Coach Fernald served as the head baseball coach at Gorham High School from 1997 - 2000, where he led his teams to four consecutive state title games and won state championships in 1997 and 1999. Coach Fernald was named the 2000, Class S Coach of the Year by the New Hampshire High School Baseball Coaches Association. That same year Fernald was named the head coach for the New Hampshire All-Stars, and he led his team to victory over the top 18 players in Vermont.
In addition to his work in Gorham, coach Fernald served as the assistant varsity coach and oversaw the pitching staff at Kennett High School in Conway from 2001 – 2004.
