Favorite Brewster experience...
My favorite Brewster experience, so far, would have to be Team Trip Day.  For Team Cooper, we went mountain climbing.  Since I was fairly new, I wasn’t sure how it was going to work out.  That day, I found out how much Brewster students care about each other.  That mountain was not an easy one to climb, but everyone, side by side, cheered each other on and made sure that the person next to them made it up the mountain.  It just showed me, for the first time, what it was like to care more about the person next to you than you care about yourself.

What I've learned at Brewster...

School spirit and teamwork are extremely important aspects of high school.  It is so important to care about the people around you, and living with them shows you that everyone is around to help you succeed.  The teachers, especially since they are always around (dinner, study hall, and team study), are always willing to help students understand concepts, and always on their own time.

What I like the most about the people at Brewster...

I love the fact that the people at Brewster are willing to help you, one hundred percent.  Coming from a public school, I never knew what if felt like to have friends who, not only talked to you, but also were willing to help you if you needed something.  There is always someone around to talk with you or give you directions.  The more experienced students at BA always are willing to help out someone who may not know what to do.  In return, it makes me feel like I only want to help people, for their sake.  People here love to pass on random acts of kindness.  Also, the teachers are amazing and the most helpful teachers I’ve ever had in my life.

Describe your teachers, coaches and dorm parents…
My teachers, coaches, and dorm parents are the most helpful people I’ve ever met.  They are always willing to stop what they are doing to help a student, and it is an amazing feeling to know that someone cares about you enough to help you on their own time.  It feels wonderful to see the ways that these particular people help and encourage you, and I love the feeling that these particular people believe in me.  It always helps having people like that around you when you are away from home.

Anything else you want to add….

I love Brewster Academy, and only good things can be said about it!  The people are amazing here!
