What's Needed and When?

Any and all information you can provide to us will help us serve you better in the application process. Below is some information that will help you understand what information is essential and how to communicate with the Admission Office to ensure that your application is completed.

What do I need to do to inquire about Brewster?

How do I make an application?

By completing an Application Form.

We prefer the Brewster application form is utilized as it asks for information that many common forms don't request.  If you would like to utilize another common application form, please communicate with the Admission Office your preference.

What information does Brewster request to complete this process?

• Recent testing information* (standardized, achievement, educational) examples: SSAT, SAT, WISC, ERB, Iowa, Stanford, TOEFL and others
• Brewster teacher recommendations (current English, math and guidance counselor)
• Most current transcript information

* Placement testing can and, in some cases, is required to complete a student's application process.

Do I need to have an interview?

Yes. The interview and visit to campus is an important part of this process and will allow you the opportunity to experience the warmth of Brewster's community. In some cases, an exception is made and a phone interview is required.

When do I need to complete my folder and when are decisions made?

Most schools adhere to a first round notification date of March 10. Folders should be completed by February 1st to be included in "first round" decisions. Following that date, Brewster is on a rolling admission status.  Please contact the Admission Office with any questions about timelines.

How do I know if information is missing in my folder?

We now have an online ability for you to check your own application status.

We also try hard to keep you updated on missing information.

Here's how you can help us:

• Follow up with the teachers who you have asked to complete recommendations;
• Bring materials with you on your interview;
• Schedule testing to be done ahead of time; and
