How to Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer for your alma mater, all of which help reconnect you with classmates, your high school days, and the Brewster Academy of today. Following are a few areas where you can help or if you'd like to volunteer in another way, let us know by contacting Beth Hayes '81.

Class Agents

To be a class agent you must enjoy talking on the phone!  Connecting with your classmates and raising support for the annual fund are the primary responsibilities of an agent.  With so many changes happening in the lives of our alumni you also may need to get updated information, as our records can become outdated very quickly. As an agent you will get phone cards with information on your classmates so that you can call or write them. Being an agent is a minor commitment, it requires you to set aside a few nights a year to make phone calls or send e-mails, if you prefer.  It is a minor commitment that benefits your school in a major way. Becoming a class agent is one simple way to re-connect with classmates while supporting Brewster at the same time. To learn more about becoming an agent, contact the Alumni Office at (603) 569-7485.

Host a Phonathon

Brewster is actively looking for new phonathon locations.  To host a phonathon your site must be able to handle approximately 10 to 20 callers.  What that means is that you need to have 10 to 20 phones on site (one for each caller) and have the capability to make long distance calls.  We are currently looking at possible sites in Boston and New York as well as a local site in Wolfeboro.   If you would like to volunteer your home or office for a phonathon, please contact Deb Gurka in the Alumni and Development Office at 603-569-7173.  Get Involved Today!

Reunion Chairs

Each year the Alumni Office works with alumni from five-year Reunion classes to communicate with and encourage fellow classmates to return to campus for Reunion. These Reunion Chairs are supplied with contact information for their classmates, including class address lists, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. The goal of the Reunion Chairs is to get as many classmates and friends to attend Reunion as possible. It's a great opportunity to re-connect with classmates and Brewster. To learn more, please contact Beth Hayes '81 at 603-569-7133 or beth_hayes@brewsteracademy.org.
