Four varsity soccer players were selected
to the Lakes Region All-Star Team: senior Kate Silvia (Amesbury,
Massachusetts), junior Danielle Tidd (Alton, New Hampshire), and sophomores
Lydia Simmons (Londonderry, New Hampshire) and Shannon Godin (Pembroke,
Ontario). Sylvia, a fullback, was one of three coaches’ award recipients on the
2011 Brewster squad.
Additionally, Tidd, a goalkeeper, was
selected as a Boston Globe NEPSAC All-Star. She was one of 19 players selected
from more than 100 schools in the NEPSAC league.
Simmons, a midfielder, is currently attending an Under-17 Women’s National Team camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. She was one of 24 girls selected to tryout for one of the 18 spots on the U17 national team, which is preparing for an invite to the U17 World Cup to be held in Azerbaijan in the fall.
